Sales Leadership Services

Whether you know exactly what needs to change or aren’t sure where to begin, I help identify where to focus and put the right sales leadership, structure, and accountability in place. That may mean serving as your fractional sales leader one day a week, leading a focused sales boot camp, facilitating a leadership workshop, or addressing a specific challenge through project-based consulting. For owners who are still carrying the day-to-day responsibility for sales, the goal is to build a stronger organization that allows them to spend more time working ON the business instead of constantly working IN the business.

My Approach

I don’t begin with a predetermined solution. I begin by understanding your objectives and the people, strengths, and resources already available to achieve them.

Every organization has different goals, people, and challenges. Before recommending a sales process, restructuring a team, or coaching a leader, I take the time to understand where your organization is today, where you want to go, what is already working, and what is standing in the way.

I believe every person has unique strengths that, when recognized and developed, can produce extraordinary results. My role is to identify those strengths, position people where they can make the greatest impact, and build the leadership, systems, and accountability that allow them to succeed.

I don’t force organizations into a standard playbook. I develop practical solutions based on your business, your people, and your goals, building on what already works while addressing the leadership, process, or execution gaps that limit growth.

Leadership Philosophy

A Question I’ve Been Asking for More Than 20 Years

That question began in the Marine Corps.

Early in my career, I began wondering why some leaders gained compliance because of their rank while others inspired genuine commitment regardless of their title. The question, “What does good leadership really mean?” has shaped more than two decades of studying leadership, building organizations, coaching leaders, and developing high-performing sales teams.

Most of us can think of an exceptional leader we admired and wanted to emulate. The problem is that few people have a clear plan for becoming that kind of leader themselves. Many have never identified their natural leadership style, do not fully understand their strengths, and have not considered how their leadership affects the people around them.

I’ve come to believe that leadership development is not about becoming someone else or copying another leader’s style. Every leader has unique strengths, and so does every person on the team. Great leaders understand how they naturally lead, recognize and develop the strengths of others, and build the clarity, systems, and accountability that allow people to perform at their best.

One question I often ask leaders is simple:

If everyone on your team worked for free, would they still choose to work for you?

Titles can require compliance. Influence earns commitment.

Meet Christopher Godsoe

Founder | GodsoeCo

Christopher Godsoe, fractional sales leader and consultant, wearing a navy blazer.

For more than 20 years, I’ve helped organizations build stronger sales teams, develop effective leaders, and create the structure, processes, and accountability needed to produce consistent results.

My experience includes sales leadership across home improvement, construction, home services, retail, and both B2C and B2B environments, as well as a background in information technology. I’ve built new sales organizations, revitalized underperforming teams, developed and implemented sales processes, and coached leaders and sales professionals at every level. Whether I’m serving as a fractional sales leader, coaching executives and business owners, training sales teams, or leading a focused consulting engagement, my approach remains the same: understand the objective first, then build a practical solution around the people, strengths, and resources already in place.

I believe every organization has untapped potential. My role is to identify what is already working, uncover what is holding the organization back, and build the leadership, sales infrastructure, and accountability needed for people and businesses to perform at their best.

Every business is different, and every solution should be too.

Whether you’re looking for ongoing sales leadership, an objective assessment of your sales organization, help addressing a specific challenge, or simply aren’t sure where to begin, the first step is a conversation about what you’re trying to accomplish, what may be standing in the way, and where to focus your attention.
